چکیده

The formation of a rich underground-seam network is the key problem in development low-permeability hot dry rock (HDR) resources. Considering lack macroscopic continuum theory to study hydraulic fracturing having preset fracture-interface element, particle-flow method micro-mechanical discrete-element introduced simulate mechanical behavior for HDR low permeability reservoirs. reservoir simulated as round particle; fluid movement described by seepage field equation, and displacement equation. Finally, numerical model reservoirs established under condition fluid-solid coupling: contains two parts (rock fracture). Based on parallel-bond model, definition micro-fractures given. relation between effect influence parameters discussed. results show that fracture-initiation pressure proportional magnitude minimum horizontal stress, particle normal-contact stiffness, normal- tangential-connection strengths; also independent maximal stress tangential contact stiffness. Simulation of hydraulic fracturing of jointed rock

This paper presents a modeling approach for three-dimensional simulation of hydraulic fracturing of jointed rock. The base for a successful computer based simulation for productive use is the ability to calculate the fractured volume with sufficient accuracy and efficiency. Especially in cases three dimensional effects have to be taken into account, the common commercial software tools in oil a...

Hydraulic Fracturing of Naturally Fractured Reservoirs

A carefully engineered stimulation that makes use of opening mode fractures is an effective way to reduce injection and production impedance and provide better access for the fluid to enter and promote shearing in the main reservoir volume. We present results from field experiments that mapped the fracture geometry for opening mode hydraulic fractures formed in naturally fractured crystalline r...

An analytical model for hydraulic fracturing in shallow bedrock formations.

A theoretical method is proposed to estimate post-fracturing fracture size and transmissivity, and as a test of the methodology, data collected from two wells were used for verification. This method can be employed before hydrofracturing in order to obtain estimates of the potential hydraulic benefits of hydraulic fracturing. Five different pumping test analysis methods were used to evaluate th...

Hydraulic Fracturing Simulation for Fracture Networks

The term ‘Unconventional Reservoirs’ is used in the oil and gas industry for hydrocarbon reservoirs that have very low permeability in the magnitude of microdarcy (μd) and therefore rely on artificially introducing pathways for fluids and gases, commonly by using hydraulic fracturing techniques, to enable economic production. This approach of using fracturing stimulation campaigns is also incre...
